Dr. Quesada is a board-certified internal medicine doctor with subspecialties in general cardiology and interventional and structural cardiology. Dr. Quesada treats conditions such as blockages of the heart arteries (coronary artery disease, implantation of coronary stents), malfunctioning of heart valves (such as aortic valve stenosis or mitral valve regurgitation,) and weakened heart muscle (heart failure or cardiomyopathies). He also evaluates and manages patients with shortness of breath, chest pain, irregular heartbeats (such as atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias), heart murmurs, high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol, statin intolerance, and clot disorders. Dr. Quesada also performs preoperative evaluations and preventative cardiology assessments.
Dr. Quesada has received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed his residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
Dr. Quesada’s research has been published in prestigious peer-reviewed scientific journals such as Circulation, Cardiovascular Research, Hypertension, and other top journals. His work has been cited more than 1800 times in international scientific publications. Dr. Quesada is also the editor-in-chief of Guia EXARMED, an over-1000-page top general medicine treatise which aids in the training of medical students and primary care providers of low- and middle-income regions in Mexico and Latin America. He has authored and co-authored more than 400 book chapters
