Dr. Carolyn is a Board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, s an expert at egg freezing and treatment of infertility, has conducted extensive research on Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), and has extensive experience in recurrent pregnancy loss. 

Dr. Alexander received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with honors and medical degree from the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. She proceeded to complete both her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr. Alexander has authored and co-authored numerous articles for peer-reviewed journals and other publications, including Fertility and Sterility and International Journal of Gynecological Cancer. She has lectured internationally and is a member of several professional societies, including the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the Endocrine Society. She participated in a multicenter study that evaluated patients’ perceptions of embryo cryopreservation, with the goal of improving patient care.

She had been listed among Los Angeles Magazine’s “2016 Super Doctors,” Dr. Alexander’s expertise has been featured in media outlets such as the Los Angeles Times, Huffington Post, Redbook, Bustle, MindBodyGreen, WebMD, KTLA and the TV series Arranged, among others. She is also a medical expert for the Project Baby website and blog, as well as a consultant for ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy.
