Dr. Caro is board certified in Internal Medicine and a specialist in Rheumatology. He completed his degree from University of Southern California. His medical school training was at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF). His post-graduate training in Rheumatology was at the University of California at Los Angeles. He is a Founding Member of the American College of Rheumatology. 

He is now an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine on the UCLA Clinical Faculty and has authored 17 peer reviewed articles, nearly all of which have been about fibromyalgia and 8 peer-reviewed articles in the past 15 years.
